Craftsmanship lives on

ManOWar_Mar2016Sketched during a day trip to Man O War Cay during our visit to the region around Great Abaco Island, The Bahamas. This small island is known for its fine woodworkers who build, repair and restore boats. Craftsmen were working inside large sheds along the waterfront, with docks and scaffolding and hoists. The feel of the island is casual with an understated pride in its traditions. There are a couple of diners and gift shops but mostly this is a community for getting work done.
